3. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to operate the site, understand how visitors use it, and measure marketing performance. These technologies may collect pages visited, traffic sources, device and browser information, session activity, and marketing-campaign attribution data.
We use third-party services that may include Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, call-tracking platforms, and similar analytics and advertising tools.
Managing your choices. When you first visit our website, we present a consent banner or privacy control that lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies and tracking technologies, or opt out of the sharing of your information. You can change your choices at any time through the “Your Privacy Choices” control in our website footer. You may also manage cookies through your browser settings.
4. How We Share Information
We may share personal information with:

Google) that help us measure website performance and reach relevant
audiences

property of Crime Intervention Alarm, our customers, or others
We require our service providers to use personal information only as needed to perform services for us and to protect it appropriately.
5. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information for money.
However, like many businesses that use online advertising and analytics, we may “share” certain identifiers and internet-activity information with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising — which the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) treats as “sharing.” California residents have the right to opt out of this sharing.
To opt out, use the “Your Privacy Choices” control in our website footer, or decline advertising cookies in our consent banner. We also honor opt-out preference signals as described in Section 8.
6. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the following rights:
- Right to Know — request the categories and
specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the
sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we
share it.
- Right to Delete — request that we delete
personal information we collected from you, subject to legal
exceptions.
- Right to Correct — request that we correct
inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing — direct us
not to share your personal information for cross-context behavioral
advertising (see Sections 5 and 8).
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal
Information — see Section 7.
- Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not deny
you services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of
service because you exercised your privacy rights.
How to Exercise Your Rights
You or your authorized agent may submit a request by:
- Email: privacy@cialarm.com
- Online: our contact form at https://cialarm.com/contact/
- Phone: (717) 846-4004
Verification. To protect your information, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding, which may include confirming information you previously provided to us. We will respond within the timeframes required by law (generally within 45 days, with an extension if reasonably necessary). Authorized agents must provide proof of authorization.
7. Sensitive Personal Information
We do not intentionally collect “sensitive personal information” as defined by the CCPA (such as Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, financial account credentials, or precise geolocation) through this website, and we do not use or disclose any such information for purposes that would require offering a right to limit. If this changes, we will update this Policy and provide the required notice and opt-out.
8. Your Privacy Choices and Global Privacy Control
You can exercise your opt-out choices through:
- The “Your Privacy Choices” control in our website footer
- The cookie consent banner or privacy control presented on your
visit
- Opt-out preference signals. We recognize the
Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or extension sends
a GPC signal, we will treat it as a request to opt out of the sharing of
personal information for that browser or device.
9. Data Retention
We retain each category of personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. In general:
- Inquiry, RFQ, and contact information is
retained for the duration of our communications and customer
relationship, and for a reasonable period afterward for recordkeeping
and follow-up.
- Website analytics and advertising data is
retained according to the retention settings of the applicable platforms
(for example, Google Analytics).
- Information may be retained longer where necessary to comply with
legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain records, or enforce
agreements.
10. Data Security
Crime Intervention Alarm implements reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Third-Party Websites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites, to the websites of our affiliated companies, or to vendors, manufacturers, and industry organizations. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of any third-party website. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external sites you visit.
12. Children’s Privacy
Our website is intended for commercial and business audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
13. Residents of Other U.S. States
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights similar to those described above under other state privacy laws (for example, in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and other states with comprehensive privacy legislation), including rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain processing of your personal information. To exercise any such rights, contact us using the methods in Section 6, and we will respond as required by the applicable law.
14. Job Applicants
Employment opportunities and applications may be handled through our careers process or an Altus Fire & Life Safety careers portal. Personal information submitted in connection with a job application may be governed by a separate applicant privacy notice provided during the application process.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our business practices, legal requirements, or website functionality. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
